FAQ
Q. Does it support both text and image watermarks?
Yes. We support both custom string text stamps (e.g., "CONFIDENTIAL", "SAMPLE") and image uploads (PNG/JPEG) for logos or signature stamps.
Q. Can I customize the watermark position, angle, and opacity?
Yes. You can configure layout anchors (Center, Corners), rotation angle (e.g., diagonal 45 degrees), and transparency scale (opacity percentage) so it does not block the original text.
Q. Can I apply the watermark to specific pages only?
Yes. You can stamp all pages, first page only (cover), odd/even pages, or specify custom page lists (e.g., 2-5, 8).
Q. Can third parties easily remove the watermark?
Watermarks are baked directly into the PDF layout streams. While it is hard to remove, we recommend setting permission restrictions using our PDF Protect tool for maximum security.
Q. Will Japanese characters or special symbols get corrupted?
No. The system loads appropriate font metadata internally, ensuring multi-language glyphs and alphanumerics are drawn correctly.
Q. Is there any leak risk for my documents or logo images?
None. Stamping processes occur entirely via client-side JavaScript. No documents or uploaded assets ever leave your browser or get saved on our servers.
Q. Can I watermark a password-secured PDF file?
No. Secure files cannot be modified directly. Unlock the PDF using our Unlock tool first, then import it for watermarking.
Q. Is it 100% free to use without count limits?
Yes, it is completely free with no user registrations, billing profiles, or limits on usage.
Q. What is the file size limit?
The maximum allowable PDF file size is 100MB.
Q. Will my original file be modified or overwritten?
No. The uploaded file is handled in a read-only mode. Resizing outputs are compiled as a fresh PDF in browser memory, protecting your original file.
